1. Payment Terms

1.1 Deposit Payment

When you book a tour or service with Travel X, a deposit of 30-40% of the total tour cost is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon arrival or online before your arrival date.

1.2 Full Payment for Special Tickets

Full payment is required at the time of booking for special events such as Yi Peng Lantern Festival tickets and New Year Countdown tickets.

1.3 Payment Methods

Travel X offers the following payment methods for your convenience:

Credit Card & PayPal:

Payments made via credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, China UnionPay) or PayPal are processed securely and incur a service processing fee of 3-4% of the total payment. This fee applies to both deposit and balance payments.

Upon successful payment, you will receive a tour voucher and confirmation immediately.

Bank Transfer & Internet Banking:

For customers in Thailand, we recommend using direct bank transfer to minimise transfer fees. International customers should contact their local bank for transfer details.

Bank transfer processing typically takes 3-5 business days. Customers are responsible for all bank transfer fees. Travel X will only consider the exact amount received in our account as the payment amount.

Once the transfer is complete, please email us the payment slip with your name and booking number. We will send your voucher and receipt after the funds have cleared.

1.4 Balance Payment

The remaining balance can be paid in cash upon arrival or online via credit card. If you choose to pay the balance online, a 3-4% service processing fee will apply.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Special Events (Yi Peng Lantern Festival, New Year Countdown)

Tickets for special events are non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters (e.g., floods, earthquakes, heavy rain).
  • Government orders or unforeseen events (e.g., war, pandemics).
  • No-shows or partial attendance at the event.

In exceptional cases (e.g., natural disasters), Travel X may offer rescheduling options or partial credits at its discretion.

2.2 Airfare Cancellation

If your package includes airfare, tickets are typically issued immediately after receiving your deposit. Cancellation after ticket issuance will incur charges as per the airline's policy, which may include the full cost of the airfare. Travel X will inform you of these charges before processing the cancellation.

2.3 Hotel Cancellation

Hotel bookings are confirmed upon receipt of your deposit. Cancellation after confirmation may incur a charge of at least one night's stay per room, depending on the hotel's terms and conditions. Travel X will advise you of any applicable charges before processing the cancellation.

3. Complaints and Disputes

3.1 Reporting Complaints

If you have any complaints regarding the services provided by independent contractors (e.g., hotels, transportation), please notify the contractor in writing and provide a copy to your Tour Manager. This allows Travel X to address the issue promptly.

3.2 Claim Submission

All claims or complaints must be submitted in writing to Travel X within 20 days of the tour's conclusion. Claims submitted after this period will not be entertained, and Travel X will not be liable for any unresolved issues.

4. Travel Insurance

4.1 Insurance Recommendation

The cost of your tour does not include travel insurance. Travel X strongly recommends that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen events such as medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or loss of personal belongings.

4.2 Insurance Documentation

You may be required to provide proof of travel insurance prior to booking confirmation.

5. Modification of Terms and Conditions

5.1 Changes to Terms

Travel X reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on the website.

5.2 Notification of Changes

Travel X will notify customers of significant changes via email or through a notification on the website. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

6. Tipping Policy

6.1 Tipping Guidelines

Tipping is not compulsory, as Travel X ensures that all staff are fairly compensated. However, if your tour guide or driver provides exceptional service, you are welcome to tip them at your discretion.

6.2 Sharing of Tips

To avoid disputes, tips received by staff are to be shared equally among the team of staff responsible for the respective group of customers.

7. General Terms

7.1 Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all provided information (e.g., names, contact details) is accurate and up-to-date. Travel X is not liable for any issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information.

7.2 Force Majeure

Travel X is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions.

7.3 Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with Thai law.
